Walking Club's 9/11 Remembrance Walk in observance of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
We were recently alerted by a friend to the 9/11 Walks happening all over the world on Sunday, September 11th, the 10 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. We dedicated our walk to honor those who lost their lives and to those brave people who gave their lives.

Did you know that Davio's Restaurant is now serving breakfast on Sunday mornings? Last month the Walking Club decided to stop at Davio's during our Sunday morning walk. We totally enjoyed our delicious breakfast at Davio‘s. Members are looking forward to our 5th annual holiday outing in December. Hope to see you soon!

A good time was had by all at the 4th annual Walking Club Holiday party. Good food, good friends and good conversation. We sang holiday songs especially, Santa Claus is Goin’ Dahntahn (Pittsburgh Christmas Sing-Along): which is usually a crowd pleaser and a encore performance is always requested by the patrons of the Moonlite.

The Walking Club attended a beautiful service that was hosted by the BACC. The Memorial parklet looked wonderful. In attendance was State Auditor General Jack Wagner, State Senator Wayne Fontana, State Representative Chelsa Wagner, City Council Member Jim Motznik along with the Veterans of Mt. Lebanon VFW Post and many Beechview residents.

The Beechview Walking Club helped the B.A.A. kick off their baseball season by joining in the fun and walked in their opening day parade to Vanucci Field on Saturday April 25, 2009. The parade started at St. Catherine's Church and finished at Vanucci Field. Pictured above are B.W.C. member's Estelle Simpson (pres.), Charlene S. (V-Pres.) and Judy Gumash. Walking Club members that also participated in the parade but not pictured are Sue Pfeuffer, Diana Lynn and Phyllis DiDiano. Below: Team Sip and Spin.
